I spent a weekend in one of Latin Exclusive’s most remarkable countryside villas, located in the lush hills outside of Titiribí. What I found was a home that blends modern comfort with natural surroundings — and an experience of quiet luxury in the most unexpected setting.
Arriving to serenity
After a short direct flight and a smooth drive from José María Córdova International Airport (which Latin Exclusive arranged through their premium transport service), I arrived at the villa in the late morning. From the moment we entered the private estate — surrounded by dense vegetation, tall palms, and distant mountains — I knew this would be a special stay.
At the entrance, I was welcomed by the house’s butler, who greeted me with a warm smile and helped with everything I needed. The landscape was alive with tropical sounds: birds, the rustle of leaves, the soft wind through the trees. As we walked toward the house, I spotted an iguana crossing the path, and later saw armadillos and other local wildlife. Nature truly envelops you here.
Waking up in paradise
The master suite is located upstairs, with a private terrace that opens onto a partial view of the pool and the surrounding greenery. I woke up the next morning to the sound of birdsong, soft light filtering through the windows, and the fresh scent of earth and dew. It was the kind of peaceful morning you rarely find — the kind that makes you breathe a little deeper.
Downstairs, the housekeeper had prepared a custom breakfast just the way I like it: scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, herbal tea, and homemade arepas. I sat facing Cerro Tusa, a majestic peak known for its almost perfect pyramid shape. The view was breathtaking.
A perfect day, your way
After breakfast, I moved gently into the rhythm of the day: Pilates in the garden, a dip in the pool, and some quiet time reading a book I’d been meaning to finish. The weather was ideal — warm sun with a fresh breeze — perfect for lounging in a hammock or sunbathing by the water.
Though I was on a break, I also had some remote work to take care of, and the villa made it seamless. The Starlink satellite internet (yes, the one by SpaceX) delivered ultra-fast speeds, so I could send emails, attend calls, and stream without a hitch.
Lunch was another personalized moment: grilled chicken breast, crispy roasted potatoes, a fresh salad, and snacks later in the afternoon — all prepared by the lovely staff. I could’ve asked for cocktails or more elaborate dishes, but I preferred to keep it simple and healthy.
As the sun began to set, the team set up a cozy outdoor movie night. The home theater can be placed wherever you like — under the stars, in the garden, or indoors if you prefer. I chose a classic film, curled up with a blanket, and just before the movie started, I caught one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen.
The sky lit up in shades of burnt orange, deep pink, and soft lavender — the kind of colors that make you stop everything and simply stare. It was a fleeting but unforgettable moment. Then, as the light faded, we ended the day by the fire pit, toasting marshmallows and feeling totally, completely at peace.
Spaces made for connection
The villa has five bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom and direct access to the outdoors. Every room looks out onto nature, offering privacy and tranquility. Ceiling fans are found throughout, and two of the rooms (including the master) also have air conditioning.
The open-plan kitchen and living area are designed for easy, joyful living. There are hammocks, sun loungers, lush gardens, and shaded corners for reading or napping. The private pool and jacuzzi can be heated upon request, and the large terrace is perfect for casual gatherings or candlelit dinners.
On the lower level, there’s a rustic-style open area surrounded by palms and greenery — ideal for group activities, yoga sessions, or simply admiring the panoramic view. The entire property is immersed in nature, offering a sense of peace and spaciousness throughout.
The luxury of ease
One of my favorite things about the stay was how easy everything felt. Before I arrived, I sent a grocery list to the team, and they stocked the kitchen with everything I wanted — from specific snacks to my favorite tea. Meals were customized, transportation was taken care of, and the service was warm, attentive, and always discreet.
